Bradford Textile Society
The Charitable Trust supports the Bradford Textile Society’s annual design competition. It is open to independent designers, designers working in the UK textile industry and students studying at all UK Universities. All entrants must be either resident or studying in the UK.
The Trust currently offers an annual prize of £1,000 for the best design use of wool in the competition.

The closing date for this prize is normally the second Friday in March.
The design competition of the Society was held on Friday 10th May 2019. Over 900 applications were received by the Society across about 20 categories.
We sponsored the best design in the show using a minimum of 60% wool, and the designs were judged by your chairman and Peter Ambler on 4th April 2019.

Last Year's Winner
Flora Johnston, winner of the Staple of England’s award for the best knitwear design in the Bradford Textile Society annual design competition held in May 2017. She is being presented with her certificate together with a cheque for £300 by Robert Hall, Chairman of the Company’s Charitable Trust. Flora is a Student at Herriot Watt University
